Sonya Bond

Sonya Bond is an experienced occupational therapist who works with children and young adults, supporting them to build practical skills, confidence, and independence. She is passionate about helping young people thrive in their everyday environments, at home, at school, and in the community.

Sonya has a special interest in neurodivergence, learning difficulties, and dyspraxia. She enjoys getting to know each young person she works with and values the opportunity to support their development in a meaningful, personalised way. Sonya also appreciates the chance to work closely with families, creating a safe, welcoming space where they can feel understood and supported.

Her sessions are grounded in play, enjoyment, and engagement. By weaving fun activities into therapy, Sonya helps children learn and develop in ways that feel natural, positive, and motivating.

Sonya graduated from The University of Queensland, St Lucia, in 1995 with a Bachelor of Occupational Therapy (Honours). She has worked across a number of Brisbane schools as an occupational therapist with Education Queensland and has spent more than 6 years in private practice.

Above all, Sonya truly enjoys her work and feels privileged to see the growth, confidence, and joy that emerge as young people develop new skills and realise their strengths.
