Dr Emma-Jane Roper

Dr Emma-Jane Roper is an experienced Brisbane paediatrician providing care for children from infancy through adolescence, specialising in general paediatrics and developmental concerns. She delivers holistic, family-centred care, supporting children’s growth, wellbeing, and development while helping families manage complex health and behavioural issues.

Emma is a general paediatrician based in Woolloongabba, providing comprehensive care for children from infancy through adolescence. She has a strong interest in early childhood behaviour and developmental concerns, as well as general paediatric health, supporting families with a broad range of medical, behavioural, and developmental issues.

Emma graduated from the University of Liverpool, England, in 2003, before moving to Australia in 2004. She completed her Fellowship with the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) in General Paediatrics in 2013, with training at the Mater Children’s Hospital, Nambour Hospital, and Gympie Hospital. She also served as Senior Registrar in Child Protection at the Mater Children’s Hospital from 2010 to 2013, gaining specialised experience in safeguarding and supporting vulnerable children.

Emma takes a holistic, family-centred approach to paediatric care, ensuring children’s growth, development, and wellbeing are prioritised. She enjoys collaborating with families and allied health professionals to provide the best outcomes for her patients. Outside of her clinical work, Emma enjoys spending time with her young family, embracing life beyond the clinic.
