Dr Elizabeth Tilse

Dr Elizabeth Tilse is an experienced Ashgrove paediatrician providing expert care for children from birth to adolescence. She specialises in general and developmental paediatrics, helping families across Brisbane nurture their child’s health, growth, and wellbeing.

Dr Elizabeth Tilse is a dedicated Ashgrove paediatrician offering compassionate, evidence-based care for children and families across Brisbane’s northside. She supports children from newborns through to adolescents, managing a wide range of general, developmental, and behavioural paediatric conditions — including autism spectrum disorder (ASD), ADHD, growth and developmental concerns, and neonatal health issues.

Dr Tilse completed her Bachelor of Science (BSc) and Honours in Psychology at the University of Queensland, before earning her Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) in 2009. She holds a Masters of Public Health and Tropical Medicine (MPHTM) from James Cook University and became a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) in 2020.

Her training includes experience at leading hospitals across Queensland, including the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital, Queensland Children’s Hospital, The Prince Charles Hospital, Townsville Hospital, Bundaberg Hospital, and Redcliffe Hospital. She also has expertise in child protection, supporting vulnerable children and families.

Currently completing dual training in developmental and behavioural paediatrics, Dr Tilse maintains an ongoing commitment to professional education and research. She is an active member of the Neurodevelopmental and Behavioural Paediatric Society of Australasia (NBPSA) and regularly participates in professional conferences to ensure her practice remains current.

As both a doctor and a mother, Dr Tilse understands the challenges parents face and values working in partnership with families. She believes in a holistic, family-centred approach to paediatric care, helping every child reach their full potential, physically, emotionally, and developmentally.
