Dr Tommy Tran is an experienced Brisbane paediatrician based at Greenslopes Private Hospital. He provides expert care for babies, children, and adolescents, with special interests in paediatric respiratory and sleep medicine.

Dr Tommy Tran is a highly respected Brisbane paediatrician and Director of Paediatrics at Greenslopes Private Hospital, providing expert, family-centred care for newborns, children, and adolescents. He has a particular interest in paediatric respiratory and sleep medicine, as well as general paediatrics and child development.

Dr Tran graduated from the University of Queensland with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy (First Class Honours) in 2001, followed by a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (First Class Honours) in 2005. During his studies, he received the prestigious John Rendle Short Memorial Prize in Child Health, recognising his excellence and dedication to paediatric medicine.

His paediatric training was completed primarily at the Mater Children’s Hospital in Brisbane, with an advanced training year at the Royal Children’s Hospital in Melbourne, one of Australia’s leading paediatric centres. He later undertook a fellowship in Paediatric Respiratory and Sleep Medicine before achieving Fellowship with the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) in 2012.

As the Director of Paediatrics at Greenslopes Private Hospital, Dr Tran oversees the hospital’s paediatric services and leads a dedicated team providing comprehensive medical care for children. He also serves as a Senior Lecturer at the University of Queensland School of Medicine, where he mentors medical students and junior doctors. His commitment to education is reflected in his role on the Greenslopes Medical Education Committee, coordinating paediatric and neonatal training for the hospital’s next generation of clinicians.

Dr Tran is an active member of several professional organisations, including the Neurobehavioural Paediatric Society of Australia (NBPSA), the Australasian Telehealth Society, and the Royal Australasian College of Physicians.
