Dr Thazin Myo Aung

Dr Thazin Myo Aung is a compassionate paediatrician in Woolloongabba, Brisbane, supporting children’s health, development, and wellbeing, including ADHD, autism, and behavioural concerns.

Dr Thazin Myo Aung is a caring and experienced paediatrician in Woolloongabba, Brisbane, dedicated to supporting children’s health, development, and wellbeing.

She has a special interest in working with children who experience behavioural challenges, ADHD, and autism spectrum disorder (ASD). Dr Aung is also passionate about providing inclusive care for children from multicultural backgrounds and vulnerable families, ensuring every child receives compassionate, tailored support.

Dr Aung completed her medical degree at the University of Medicine 1 in Yangon, Myanmar, before moving to Queensland for extensive paediatric training. She has worked across major hospitals including the Queensland Children’s Hospital, Mater Mothers’ Hospital, and Toowoomba Hospital. She has also served as a senior registrar and developmental fellow at Sunshine Coast University Hospital and as an advanced trainee registrar at Inala Indigenous Health Service.

In 2024, Dr Aung achieved her Fellowship with the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) in General Paediatrics and is currently completing additional training in community child health.

Fluent in both English and Burmese, Dr Aung connects easily with families from diverse cultural backgrounds. She believes in empowering parents and caregivers with practical strategies and knowledge to best support their child’s growth and development.

Outside of medicine, Dr Aung enjoys travelling, listening to music, and spending time with her cats.
